How did you sign up?
When you signed up to CGX, you had the option to create your profile using your...
- Email address and a password or
- Apple ID or
- Google account
Can you remember which one of those options you chose? If not, keep reading and we'll figure this out together.
Check your emails
When you signed up, we sent you a welcome email. If you've got multiple email addresses, have a search through your inboxes on each one to see if you can find it. The subject is Welcome to CGX by Caroline Girvan and it looks like this:
If you find this email in your inbox, that's the email address you used to sign up to CGX. The next step is figuring out if you used that email address to sign up through email & password, Apple, or Google.
Logging in with an email address & password
You might see one of these errors if you try to log in using an email address and password:
- Error: Please check provided credentials and try again
- Your password OR your email is incorrect
- Incorrect email or password
Here's why you're seeing this:

There might be a typo in your email address
Try typing it in again.

There might be a typo in your password
Try typing it in again.

You might have entered the wrong password
Tap Forgotten password and we'll send you a password reset link.

You might not have created your profile using an email address & password
Instead, you might have signed up using your Apple ID or Google account. Try one of those options instead.
Didn't receive a password reset email?
- Check the spam or junk folder of your emails in case it's gone there
- If not, that probably means you didn't create your profile using that email address. Try any other email addresses you use, or let's keep going with some other options.
Logging in through Apple
You might have created your CGX profile using your Apple ID. In that case, choose Continue with Apple to log in:
Being asked to set a new username?
This means CGX doesn't recognise you and is trying to create a new profile for you. There are a couple of reasons why this might have happened:

Do you have more than one Apple ID?
You might have chosen the wrong Apple ID when you were prompted to choose which one to log in with. Close CGX, reopen it, and try again.

You didn't create your profile through your Apple ID
Try a different log-in method instead.
Logging in through Google
You might have created your CGX profile using your Google account. In that case, choose Continue with Google to log in:
Being asked to set a new username?
This means CGX doesn't recognise you and is trying to create a new profile for you. There are a couple of reasons why this might have happened:
